The Role

Reporting to the UK Product Manager, the Business Analyst’s role is to understand and collate requirements for the Alcidion Product set in the UK that will optimise our healthcare solutions. Ensuring that the product design and development teams are well briefed on the requirements are critical to the success of this role.

The Analyst will work closely with the Product Managers and UK Chief Medical Officer to break down and document features and then work collaboratively with all parts of the business to create acceptance criteria. The Business Analyst will also support the Product Team in the construction of the Product Vision and the current workload for Alcidion’s development teams.

The Business Analyst is also the advocate for products within the agile teams and plays an important role in setting the goals and ensuring the team are aligned with the needs of the business.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake strategic analysis of planning, policy and/or funding issues including the analysis of qualitative and/or quantitative data and develop options and recommendations
  • Provide expert advice on creating requirements, including analysis and documentation
  • Determine how to refine current tasks and work flows, analyse, looking for improvement
  • Collate product requirements from internal and external stakeholders to support the required product modules
  • Document the capabilities and features of our solutions
  • Analyse and document the information needs that health services have
  • Establish and specify broader healthcare market requirements
  • Work with the software development team to ensure accepted stories are integrated into our releases
  • Work with the Testing team to ensure product documentation can be consumed for both automated and manual testing processes
  • Provide strategic expert advice and research best practice
  • Liaise with the design and product development teams to ensure the product meets the requirements and is put into production at the customer’s site, professionally, and on time
  • Other duties as required

Skills and Experience


  • Experience of eliciting appropriate requirements and producing in depth documentation for a wide range of stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to scope, analyse and undertake research
  • Ability to work on own initiative and organise own workload with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of healthcare, in particular hospital operations


  • Business Analyst or Project Management Qualification
  • Front line clinical or operational experience gained in NHS or healthcare solutions
  • Technical background
