Security Analyst


The Security Analyst will use their knowledge and experience to help ensure Alcidion’s systems are safeguarded from ongoing security threats and complying with security requirements. Working as a key member of the IT team, they will be the first point of contact and responsible for investigating, identifying and reviewing any security issues, alerts and logs across our systems whilst also reviewing, configuring and administering the security systems.

Day to day you will:

  • Assist with the delivery of our cybersecurity strategy
  • Build and implement security technology tools, systems and processes
  • Actively monitor, investigate, and remediate all cyber alerts, incidents and vulnerabilities
  • Identify potential weaknesses and vulnerabilities, and implementing solutions
  • Implement technical counter measures to emerging cyber threats
  • Ensuring adherence to agreed security standards and compliance requirements
  • Maintain and review security systems, access, and permissions in line with policies and procedures
  • Generate ongoing required security reports for the Group IT Manager
  • Provide assistance with security related tasks, projects and queries
  • Assisting with the creation, maintenance, and delivery of cyber security awareness training for all staff
  • Assist with security due diligence, risk assessments and auditing processes
  • Create and maintain security related documentation
  • Other duties as required

Your background includes:


  • Experience implementing and operating security controls in an enterprise environment
  • Strong experience in security technologies and practical application of security principles
  • Strong experience with the development, configuration and administration of Microsoft security products and SIEM solutions
  • Knowledge of industry security management frameworks such as ISO 27001
  • Technical experience with security technology including WAP, DLP, IDS/IPs, SIEM, Antimalware
  • Strong skills in identifying and conducting incident response and investigations
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Excellent in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment


  • ISO 27001 Experience
  • Relevant Security Certifications
  • Experience in the software development industry
