Evie has worked in Health IT for over 25 years bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to her role as General Manager of Alcidion Corporation. Prior to joining Alcidion she was part of the Executive Team at PowerHealth were her role as Project Director included full responsibility for global project delivery alongside sales and business development for the full suite of products. In this role Evie was directly involved in securing a $44 million project in the province of Quebec, Canada, and successfully achieving the company’s financial growth target earlier than forecasted.
Most notably Evie has a strong track record in delivering large health IT projects throughout her career starting at iSoft Australia as a Professional Services Consultant implementing HOMER projects in several Public Hospitals across Australia. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy and is Prince2 Certified.
Evie is focussed on building a high-performance team at Alcidion, with a strong focus on teamwork to inspire and deliver results.
With over 20 years of experience in Medical Informatics, Malcolm Pradhan is one of the world’s leading minds in Clinical Decision Support. Prior to co-founding Alcidion in 2000, Malcolm was the Associate Dean of IT and Director of Medical Informatics, University of Adelaide. During his time at the University of Adelaide, Malcolm provided thought leadership and conducted research into applications of clinical decision support, and into optimum uses of a variety of statistical and probabilistic methods for applying clinical decision support. He also was active in the Australian health informatics community, as a founding fellow of the Australasian College of Health Informatics (ACHI).
In his time at Alcidion, Malcolm has overseen and driven the development and design of Alcidion’s products and has been responsible for transforming Alcidion’s technology platform, which was initially used only for Emergency Medicine, into a powerful health informatics platform which can be applied to a broad set of clinical scenarios.
During this time, Malcolm also has undertaken responsibilities as a Clinical Lead within the Australian Government’s National e-Health Transition Authority (NeHTA), and has provided important guidance in the Australian Government’s design and development of the Personally Controlled eHealth Record System project, as well a number of definitional documents that underpin NeHTA’s healthcare interoperability standards.
Throughout his career, Malcolm has contributed to the Health Informatics community, and has specialised in research into patient safety, evidence based medicine, operational analysis and optimisation, data analysis and probabilistic simulation modelling, and Bayesian analysis and modelling.
Malcolm’s broad knowledge and vision of the path to a high performance healthcare system are complimented by formal qualifications of an MBBS from University of Adelaide, and a PhD in Medical Informatics from Stanford University.
Sean brings an immense amount of knowledge to Alcidion with over 20 years’ experience in the IT industry alone and 10 years in the Health Informatics industry specifically.
His career spans across a number of different companies around the globe which includes both consultancy roles and in-house software development positions.
After starting his career working in the IT Departments at Vancouver Hospital, Sean moved down to Seattle, Washington to work with Picis Clinical Solutions (now Optum ) where he spent several years implementing Clinical Solutions throughout major hospitals in the US and Canada as well as integrating Picis software with the IDX Carecast system.
Armed with solid experience in software architecture, implementation methodologies, and software development, Sean undertook a systems architecture role for Mr. Gates firm, Corbis Corporation, where he worked with a high performing team to deliver a serviced oriented architecture which supported a transformational eBusiness Solution for the business.
Leveraging his experiences in product development and architecture, Sean took a role for several years with Avanade Australia’s, .NET Practice in Canberra where he was responsible for application architecture, project management, technical pre-sales, and application development for clients primarily in the Australian Federal Government.
Sean has been in Adelaide since 2006, where he initially joined Commander Solutions and spent the next 3 years architecting, designing and implementing solutions on the Microsoft solution stack. For the last five years, Sean has primarily been providing contractual services in the Architecture, Project Management, and Microsoft .Net development space for Avanade Australia and other public and private organizations in South Australia.
Sean, who holds a Bachelor of Health Information Science from the University of Victoria in Canada and he is a certified Scrum Master, brings a solid knowledge of Health Informatics and a wealth of experience in building teams and producing quality software products.
Prior to joining Alcidion as People and Performance Lead Desirée has spent over 20 years working in Senior Human Resource (HR) generalist roles predominantly within the IT industry, supporting engineering employees and in particular software engineers and computer scientists.
Starting her HR career working for Motorola in Adelaide, she moved to Sydney working for companies such as Computer Science Corporation and AMP to support the IT@AMP team as Head of HR. After returning to Adelaide she worked for defence giant BAE Systems and more recently Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in senior HR roles.
Desirée has a Masters of Management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Business degree, majoring in Human Resources.
