Northern Territory Health upgrade to latest Miya Precision platform

Northern Territory Health (NT Health) have signed an agreement with Alcidion to upgrade to the current Miya Precision platform.

Northern Territory Health (NT Health) have signed an agreement with Alcidion to upgrade to the current Miya Precision platform.

NT Health has been a key partner of Alcidion since 2009, being one of the earliest users of the original Miya platform.  This agreement will see NT Health deploy the latest Miya Precision solution utilising core modules Miya Flow and Access with the ability to add further modules over time across their entire network.  This upgrade represents the first health organisation to transition from the original Miya product to the current Miya Precision platform.

The upgraded solution will support NT Health’s management of patient flow and bed management between major hospitals and satellites across the Northern Territory.  This will be facilitated by deployment of flexible electronic journey boards, integrated bed management, hospital operations command centre capability and dedicated emergency department functionality using the Fast Healthcare Interoperability (FHIR) event based Miya Precision Platform.

This deployment of Miya Precision will be integrated with NT Health’s Acacia Electronic Medical Record which is being implemented across the Territory.

Alcidion Group Managing Director Kate Quirke said: “We look forward to extending this partnership and further enhancing NT Health’s capabilities to continue provide high quality health care to Territorians, while supporting clinicians with the tools to provide safe and efficient care.  This deployment of Miya Precision is unique considering the geographically dispersed population supported by NT Health”.
