Patientrack makes waves across the South Island

Since our customer newsletter in November 2018, Alcidion added South Canterbury DHB to the number of New Zealand DHBs using Patientrack for electronic observations and clinical documentation. There are now six NZ district health boards using Patientrack, confirming it as the leading provider for the South Island, where all but one of the district health boards in the region are using Patientrack.

Group Managing Director, Kate Quirke said, “We are delighted to see Patientrack being extended across the South Island. With six DHBs using Patientrack we are continuing to see synergies from the shared use of assessments and charts across NZ. The South Island has also recently commenced a project to move all DHBs to a single Patientrack instance, thereby enhancing the ability to share information across patient episodes throughout the South Island, assisting to improve patient outcomes”

South Canterbury DHB Project Manager, Nathan Taylor said, “It’s great to finally see the implementation of Patientrack underway with train the trainer scheduled for mid-April.  For some time now, we’ve had access to review Patientrack assessments for our patients treated at neighbouring DHBs while still using paper-based assessments.  We look forward to using Patientrack locally and sharing assessment information across the region for improved patient care, to create efficiencies and demonstrate a paper-lite strategy.”
